The 2+2 compact vehicle was specifically designed by the Korean carmaker to meet head on the Scirocco of Volkswagen and is expected to have a lower tag price than the latter.

Looking at the spy photos posted by AutoCar, the next gen Coupe is expected to have a rear deck that is a bit long but flat with the design lines looking similar to the Veloster concept displayed back in 2007.

Insiders have hinted that the Hyundai Coupe will make use of an asymmetric body design with 2 doors on the left side to make access to the rear cabin easier. It will also have the conventional design of a hatchback.

The new Hyundai Coupe will be fitted with a 1.6L Theta direct injection powerplant which is the latest from the Korean car manufacturer. The entry level unit will be capable of giving out 140 bhp and will have an optional gearbox that makes use of twin-clutch. After its official launch, a 200 bhp variant will be released featuring a 1.6L turbo engine.

The 2011 Sonata concept was introduced a few years ago, and for a lot of consumers, its release is long overdue. The 2010 Hyundai Accent boasts of the Sonata’s same fluid sculpture only in a significantly smaller package.

Set to be released to the Chinese market on the latter half of 2010, and globally on 2011, the Accent is 1,460 mm high, 1,700 mm wide and 4,340 long.

According to Hyundai, the cabin dimensions of the small sedan are bigger than its rivals in the market, today. The 454 ft trunk is said to easily accommodate four gold bags and three tote bags—obviously designed for the city dweller who likes to take his vacation once in a while.

Hyundai’s Accent Verna will be available to the Chinese market in a selection of two petrol engines. The 1.4 L inline-four can produce 106HP and 135.4Nm of torque/5,000 rpm. Consumers can also choose from a five-speed manual transmission, or a four-speed automatic. The larger 1.6 L engine can deliver 121HP and 155Nm of torque with slightly worse fuel efficiency. This engine will, however, be offered exclusively in a four-speed transmission model.

Hyundai will begin the production of the Verna for China this July. Replacements for the current Hyundai Accent will also be released to North America by the first half of 2011.

The i-Flow is a clear indicator that Hyundai is going the right direction on following their fluid design philosophy. Same is true for its sister carmaker Kia which has its Ray Concept catching eyes at the Chicago Auto Show.

The rendered i-Flow though does not come with details about the car but Hyundai hints that it will be part of their D-segment line-up which will meet head on with the Ford Mondeo in the European market. Given that, we can expect a diesel engine variant on the drawing boards, and a good possibility for a hybrid system coupled with i-Flows solar cells.

The concept car was designed in Hyundai’s European Headquarters in Russelheim. The striking appearance will definitely catch the eyes of the autoworld as the sheets will be pulled off on March 2 in Geneva.

The car will be utilizing several technologies including lightweight materials, solar cells, and inputs from chemical company BASF so the car can be made lighter to improve its fuel efficiency.

We are sure more images and details about the i-Flow will be released prior to the press conference at Hall 1 of the Geneva Auto Show come March 2. We will keep you posted.

The design team of Hyundai calls the look of the car part of their fluidic sculpture architecture. We are not sure if the LED display panel on the grille of the car is part of that idea. We are more however interested with the plug-in hybrid engines of the vehicle.

The Korean carmaker considers the Blue-Will as their concept car which serves as testing grounds for their new ideas. These ideas focus on the future trend of Hyundai hybrid vehicles rolling out of their assembly plants. Some of the cars in the production line up include the 2011 Sonata BlueDrive hybrid due this 2010 with a 2012 model which will will be a plug-in hybrid unit.

Hyundai insiders say that their plug-in units will be dedicated hybrids which will use body designs different from the platform used by the gasoline models. The Blue-Will made its first appearance during the Seoul Auto Show in 2009. The Detroit Auto Show participation is Blue-Will’s North American debut.

The Blue-Will provides enough range on a single charge if it will be based on a recent study that suggests drivers travel daily on an average of 40 miles. The car also uses a lighter battery technology using lithium-polymer cell which utilizes electrolyte in a solid polymer form. Other lithium ion designs make use of the electrolyte in its liquid form. The technology permits Hyundai to pack 16 kW-hr battery compared to what is expected in the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid.

Hyundai released the fuel mileage numbers at 50 to 55 miles per gallon driving as a hybrid and about 100 mpg as plug-in hybrid. Overall range comes at 650 miles.

Hyundai revealed its Blue-Will, a concept plug-in hybrid car, in March and officially gave the industry a hint of its intentions of releasing a hybrid sports car. The Korean car maker also suggested that any car based on the concept car has a good chance of reaching their American consumers.

The research and development team of Hyundai officially confirmed the target date of the release of their plug-in hybrid sports car and said that it will meet head on the competitions like the 2011 Chevrolet Volt and the Toyota Prius.

Hyundai aims to be the leader in terms of fuel mileage and use of alternative fuels. Making money on hybids is the ultimate goal and Hyundai might just do it in showing off their advancements in technology.

The Blue-Will which will basically serve as the platform of their future vehicles was developed at their home R&D center in South Korea. Under its hood is a 1.6L petrol engine primarily used to charge the lithium polymer batteries. The battery powers an electric motor which rolls the front wheels. Running on electric power alone, the car can go for 40 miles which is just the same range as the 2011 Chevrolet Volt.

The total output of the engine is about 154hp and may not be close enough to a sports car. Hyundai might boost it up for production. Electric cars also behave a bit differently than the usual vehicle because of the torque it can produce.

Hyundai is eyeing to compete with the Volt of Chevrolet and the next generation of Prius from Toyota. The Blue-Will has a 1.6L gas power plant under its hood assisted by a 100 kilowatt electric motor. The Korean car producer also boasts of its technology for the production of lithium battery.

Hyundai will be the first in the auto world to utilize Ion Lithium Polymer for mass produced cars.

The net mileage for the Blue-Will is 106 mpg with pure electric power bringing it 38 miles away. The gas fueled engine can also contribute about 55 mpg if needed. The car also has solar panels mounted on its roof to help in charging the car’s battery.

Aside from the efficient fuel usage, the Blue-Will boasts of headlamps made from recycled soft drink bottles. Plant extract materials were also preferred over the usual fossil fuel derivatives for the engine cover.

Hyundai does not have an official release with regard to the price of the Blue-Will. The Volt is expected to have a sticker price of around $40000.

According to Hyundai executives, their primary goal in releasing the Blue-Will is not for profit but for technology showcase to convince the market to buy and drive their cars.

Genesis Coupe is known to be equipped with the “track” package, a powerful 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine configuration, larger wheels, and a stronger suspension. The latest R-Spec of the Genesis Coupe array had managed to trim down, meaning, getting rid of some unnecessary stuff to leave something for the performance aficionados to modify. So this spells out a lighter, slimmed and ever-ready spec for the race track. Hyundai also has the interest of cutting down the cost and weight saving purposes.

The Genesis R-Spec is operational with the engine configuration of 2.0T, and has a lowered, retuned suspension, six-speed manual transmission and tires which measured 19 inches. The race car is also enhanced with the Torsen limited differential and R-Spec insignia. Automatic transmission is not present on this Genesis. But the tires are made for supreme, aggressive performance, and it has an enhanced gripping ability with the larger Brembo brakes on the front and on the rear.

Genesis Coupe R-Spec tossed out some “non-essentials” like the Bluetooth connectors, computers programmed for trips, controls on traveling and automatic headlights. Aside from that, the chrome interior and steering wheel audio controllers are eliminated from the list.

The Genesis is priced at $23,750 or $3,000 less than the 2.0 model. It is also offered in three external colors: Bathurst Black, Karussell White and Tsukuba Red.

The program will run for the whole of 2009 to convince buyers that their credit score will not be ruined in case they cannot pay for the new car because they were retrenched from work.

So the twist will cover the Hyundai buyer in the event he or she loses her job within a year after purchase. The buyer will be able to return the car to Hyundai to avoid any damage to the credit score. The buyers must then have a proof that they have been laid off. The status of the payment must be current.

Given that all conditions are satisfied, the car buyer can leave the car with the dealer and insurance company Walkaway will pay the bills. This will cost zero to the buyer.

Executives of Hyundai disclosed that a big chunk of their marketing fund is allotted to the program. The car manufacturer is paying for the first year of insurance for the car buyers.

The program was started in January 2 and so far positive feedbacks have been coming in from the different dealers. A lot of people are interested to explore their options because of the job loss insurance policy promo.

Hyundai has the exclusive rights with Walkaway to run such a program. They are expecting though that competitors may follow suit. So far, Korean affiliate Kia is not offering the program.

The only way that users of car can ensure that they keep on driving cars is by finding out alternative means and alternative fuels for the future. At the same time these fuels should not be harmful for the ecology and should help to reduce CO2 emissions. Keeping this in mind, most automobile manufacturers have taken up the initiative and are designing cars that will run on alternative fuels and Hyundai too is not far behind.

Those who love their Hyundai cars and the organization will be pleased to know that Hyundai has come out with a model that is fuel efficient and shall permit you to travel more distances for the same amount of fuel. Literally this translates less CO2 emission per kilometer traveled. Though it may still take a few years till this fuel-efficient car is available popularly, those who have managed to procure the `Hyundai Elantra Hybrid 2009’ will be pleased with the first car on green car fuels from Hyundai.
